Higher education and attendance of 75% as an eligibility criteria for appearing
There was a protest by LLM students of Mumbai university on not being given hall tickets to appear for exams as they had not completed 75% attendance.Only 2% of students received hall tickets for appearing for exams.As a result of protest by the students the exams have been postponed until first week of december.It is ridiculous to have this criteria for appearing for exams.The lectures are pathetic and certainly have no value addition. The lectures should be optional.It is also difficult for working advocates to attend these lectures as they are conducted in court hours.On the contrary contact programs can be conducted from time to time.Post graduates do not require any spoon feeding.The criteria need to be scraped.The emphasis should be more on virtual classrooms ,than actual attendance.Disciplinary action against students reveal coercive attitude of the administration.Also these rules though exist in rule books are not adhered to.The administration should be student friendly and for their benefit.The university is in a pathetic state.Please comment on the 75% criteria - pros and cons

Lawyers are supposed to uphold the law. however, from what i have read on various blogs and comments, many of the posters seem to think that rules and regulations do not apply to them. Yours is the third post I have read recently touting the same line.
1. Prior sanction of the bar council should be taken before a lawyer is prosecuted.
2. Suspension of a lawyer for running a business is unwarranted.
If you want to be above the law, stop practicing law and join politics.
This is very bad on the point of view of administration and discipline..
