Noojie or NUJS-er or NUJS-ian Nooji-ite?

kianganz 20 Aug 2010, 17:39

Hello,

A discussion from Facebook fan page on Noojie and NUJS-er:

I said: “My experience is that not everyone outside of NUJS knows what Noojies are. And besides Google likes ‘NUJS-ers’ better than ‘Noojies’.”

A Facebooker replied: “also, in my first year i discovered that prior generations of ‘NUJS-ers’ considered being called ‘noojies’ to be derog.”

I am interested - what is the PC thing to call an NUJS person in this day and age?

And does anyone not from NUJS know what a Noojie is?

Thanks, looking forward to a consensus for future reference and usage,

Kian

i’m not from nujs, but in my experience they refer to themselves - whether ironically or seriously - as noojies. what i do know however is that the older alumni really dislike being called noojies.

You may check how Urban Dictionary defines Noojie:

[Definition dated Dec 15, 2010, so obviously not created by me ]

[quote]Noojie

A feminine, possibly homosexual Indian boy who is very annoying. If you are within earshot, you will be made aware of all his problems.

Noojie: You know who pisses me off today? (commences 30 minute explanation).
