Wife rights regarding Residence

sudharamen 14 Aug 2010, 11:48

Hi,

I need a clarification regarding the following case.

A girl is married to a guy who has a native of Pondicherry. She hold a residence of 2.5 years in Pondicherry since her marriage. As per Pondicherry rules, nly a person with 5 years of Pondicherry residence can apply for a job or can apply in colleges for higher studies. Is this candidate eligible to apply now? She hold a ration card, Pondicherry caste certificate.

Is she eligible to aply under the rights of her husband, because Pondicherry allows either the candidate or her parents who have a residence of 5 years to apply for job or higher studies?

Please clarify this.

Thanks in advance,

Sudha

Hi,

As a wife of a person who is having pondicherry residence, u have rights to apply for any job in pondicherry. Apart from that already you have ration card and cast certificate. So you are eligible for a job and for higher studies in pondicherry.

U would have to check Pondicherry Rules and Regulations. There is different amendments in this area and u can ask Council of Pondicherry Jurisdiction.
