Crash Course for CLAT 2011
10 Aug 2010, 10:27
I want to know which are the best centres for crash course for CLAT 2011. I can join any in Mumbai/Jaipur/Delhi. Some say LST, some say PACE! Rescue!
I have opted for LST Beacon course. I read TOI, Pratiyogita Darpan, Competition Success Review, Pearson’s GK Manual. Is it enough? Any Suggestions?

If itis possible, please go for Sriram, Chennai
I live in gujrat & have no relatives even near to chennai. Thanks a lot neways :)
why sriram?????
I have taken correspondence(1 year one) from Sriram. Its nice. Much more exhaustive than Career Launcher material. Even i would want to know why attend Sriram crash course? Its nice i know.. Just wanted more details on it.
Accrndg to me LST is a better option compared to sriram !
Sriram makes you go through rigorous practice. I have seen the course material for Sriram. And I have short-listed it for my Crash Course in April 2011, apart from some other institutes.

My cousin took a 1 year correspondence course from Sriram and joined its Crash Course at Chennai. She qualified for NLU, Jodhpur.
P.S.- If I were you, I would check upon IMS, and keep LST as the second best alternative. At my place, Lst more or less sucks. But its amazing in Pune and Delhi.
thanks nightcrawler! :)
Well, I seriously dont think I would, in any case, be able to go down to Chennai for 1 month crash course.
I have shortlisted IMS & LST Delhi.
:)
P.S. - This thread is still alive, awaiting replies.
As far as I know, IMS isn’t very popular in North India. There is a very famous and renowned center of IMS in Delhi but I think its famous for BBA coaching, not law. I have heard the IMS center of Calcutta is good.
LST centers are good, but they vary greatly. Some are very good, but some are plain bad. I know from my personal experience that LST centers in Delhi teach very less, hardly 3 hours daily.
More comments graciously welcomed.
LST centers in Pune are actually very good. In the crash course they give you around 4.5 hours and ample of good material for static gk and english.
English IS their forte.
Anyway, IMS is better than LST atleast. Well, not much popular I agree, but worth a try definitely
Oh well. I don’t think I can go to Chennai either. Pune maybe. Delhi is way too weird for me. I might even play my chances in Bangalore. Though Sri-ram will remain one of the top priorities.
Legally Blind, Inform me about your choice too. K?
Ciao!
@NightCrawler - well since naturalthing’s views about LST DELHI rnt good, m thinking of joining LST Jaipur (tht way i ll get 2 b with my grandpa for 1.5 months :])
but anyway i m not sure…theres a lot of time to decide…bt Jaipur lST is on the top of my list.
Do IMS Banglore provide accomodation facilities also?
I’m going to sriram for sure !!!
Guys whatever you decide, keep in mind that the coaching centers r just a support and dont even think of depending on them… one more thing, in case if ur opting bangalore than i suggest LST in jayanagar or sadashivnagar…though i’ve not taken coaching there some of my friends have n in their opinion its a good place.. but please in any case DO NOT opt paradygm A n R…they literally suck… you’ll ruin a year.trust me..
Yes Harvard guy. U suggested the same to me. And I will follow you. Even I got info through other sources that its not the best to invest in.
Thnx!
LST Delhi ain’t the best… So Well I have little idea about LST Jaipur. Damn… Less time and so much to cope up with.!
Less time :|
Well i would say its too early to think about the crash course right now. Better concentrate on your own preparation right now and worry about the crash course after February.
They are people who go places without coaching and many who despite the best facilities fail. CLAT being a little dicey thing, its stupid to rest all the responsiblity on the center itself.
LST, Sriram, IMS all produce toppers (I fail to fall for the tall claims made by them on their sites). Both LST and SRIRAM claim that the All India topper this time was their student. But dwelling into such matters is a waste of time.
What is needed is to adequately prepare yourself.

Any specific reason why?
Your reasons to attend Sriram, might just help others around here too.
And when will you get your registration done? I assume its too early to ask this, but i am a little incredulous about it. Its a coaching of national repute, so obviously there will be rush.
@Harward Guy - thanks yeah! this ll help 2 bring down the pressure. Well, you are saying IMS aint good, that brings me down to JST Jaipur. Thanks!
@Nightcrawler - Well my sources say LST Jaipur is good, not excellent though. And basically, what “harward guy” says is true enough, it depends on our practice & knowledge. A little help from a coaching is all we need.
VERY LESS TIME LEFT! *biting my nails*
P.S. The thread is still alive.
@ naturalthing
Not justifying myself or anything mate… But I am not only making coaching the basis of my preparation. Or else I would have obviously gone for the correspondence course. But as a matter of fact.. I am not.
I am concentrating on assembling facts and figures for the moment. Classifying things is the neatest of all jobs and thats what I intend to do. Though not gonna waste all my time in it.
You gonna appear for CLAT 2011?
Damn it. I am not worrying about the crash course. Just evaluating my options. So dead, so dead
Hey i dint say IMS aint good…don have much info about it.. it makes me happy that all you guys(n many others) r very serious about CLAT..but u got to be cool..don stress-out on the coaching thing…

Times are such that without being serious and completely focused you get nowhere.
My sister told me that its the best I culd get and also i dont believe in LST as My frndz who r currently @ LST D are continusly updating there status on FB abt the ill will there !
I am appearing for CLAT 2011.I have joined two year programme with Paradygma, koramangla,Bangolore. So is it better to join the crash course also there? Or to join crash course at sriram, chennai.I would like to be in touch with somebody who is appearing for CLAT2011 ,FROM Visakhapatnam.
Hiiiii!!!! Karma!!!
I too stay in vishakapatnam and am going to appear for clat 2011. I haven’t enrolled for any coaching yet, but, I think sriram is good for mock tests…
You’re worrying too soon anyways…lotsa time…:)
Actually i am involved with two year correspondence course with Paradygm A$R.With your strong suggestion I plan for crash course at LST jayanagar,Bangalore or Sriram Chennai. Thanks a lot.
Hai,
thanks for reply.I am not worrying.Just planning.I too heard Srirams Mock tests are good.
hya all.. is LST pune a beeter option????
wt els can i gt in pune 4 CLAT coaching.. nd is der a need 2 join d coachings.. if i study hard by my own wont it b enough?
plz guide me.. wt i shud start studyng frm nw.. wtin 4 replies.. ;)
chao
Hey! I personally think that all these coachings n all don’t really add the cherry to your cake, though they so blatantly claim to do so. Self-prep is by far the best thing u can do…evn if u do join some coaching u will ultimately realize that wd da coaching u hv done exactly wt u wud hv done on ur own-trust me…i m speaking by experience.
They r good only for the mocks n the legal awareness/aptitude sections(if u cannot do good at it on ur own)…
So, just trust ur own abilities rather than the bragging abilities of these institutions…and test urself regularly…this will take u a long way…:)
Though I agree that Self-STudy iz the best thng but its better to join classes for a month and asses ur self !!
hey dont even think of joining in paradygm, bangalore…u’ll regret joining their..as i did…
u’ll regret joining there (mistake corrected)…
yaa yaa ,No question of joining paradygma, thanks for feed back ,you saved my one year.
is it required to join the same institution for crash from where i ve taken the correspondence?i dont want things to be jumbled up for me in the end.i wanted to do a crash course in bangalore.plz suggest some centres.which has the best correspondence course?
As per experience of harvard guy, dont join paradygm .LST jaynagar,Bangalore will be good according to Harvard guy.I am prefering to join Sriram at Chennai. As it is nearer to my place visakhapatnam.
Hi,
Before you decide on any institute, just check out the past performances.
LST should be the prefered one.For 3 consecutive years they have dominated the CLAT and even before they had the maximum students going to the Law Schools.
In 2010,all top 20 ranks of CLAT are from LST.
B) i want to join any coching for clat preparation.i m preparaing for clat2011.i m from patna n i m confused about coching, which coching i should join?somebody says lst is good ,some says ims,in patna,i have lst n ims option for clat, can anyone help.n what about corespondence course?which coching is good for corespondence course?
@ harvard guy,
just curious which law school did you finally join? did you make it anywhere?
thanks
