service agreement bond

hi all ,

my name is manish , i ma working with a MNC from last three years, now they have send me to USA for the ON JOB TRAINING. before coming I have signed a bond which says that I have to serve the same company for next two years beacuse they want to utilise my skills but in case i ll leave the comapny i have to pay a bond amount of 3lakhs rupees. this amount will be reduced on prodata basis. the bond i signed on a 50 rupees bond paper.

kindly tell me is these types of bonds are legal in india?

what ll be the aftereffects if i ll not follow this agreement

Hi, Any Bonds of employer employee nature are not valid in India, Companies make one sign a bond to make the person committed to his stand , however are not legally valid. (the company may try other tactics like false allegations which you will have to defend, may not give you a relieving letter and experience letter.)

Thankyou POOJA , but i want to know if these are illegal then why these companies are doin this and wh no one have taken action on such stuffs? in short i awant to know is its illegal then how to stop this.

hi Pooja,

I am suffering with same kind of issue in which they took an agreement for 1 year training but sent on 2 years duration without following the bond.

And the amount need to be paid is 20lakh on 12000 rupees stamp paper.

i want to break this bond and live free as i dont trust the company because they did not follow the agreement.

Please tell me, is it possible? can i get free without paying anything.
