Age limit for CLAT 2011

I passed my ISC exams this year (2010) from the science stream. And sadly I couldn’t make it to CLAT this year. I had a score of 128/200 and a rank of 1573. So I decided to drop the year and prepare to apply again next year.

My date of birth is 28-06-1991. Will I be eligible to apply next year? According to the eligibility this year, the applicant has to be not more than 20 years of age as on the 1st of July. If the same criteria follows next year, I’ll be over the age of 20 years by a matter of 3 days! Will that create a problem for me next year?

Please Help!!

yes you can.

do some math yaar and calculate yourself.

clat math is much tougher than this.

maths???…y?????…apparenty maths papers r quite easy in clat and i think critical reasoning is comparitively tougher…

This is just sad. And unfair. With my birthday, I could just take the test once. :( Dont you think there’ll be some consideration? After all, I’ll still be 19 in May when I answer the test… :(

the case regarding the age limit is still pending in the supreme court.so just wait for their decision…

2011 clat is organized by nujs kolkata. you may talk to them. but they will tell you for petition/protest/strike/bandh etc.

I’ve contacted them a gazillion times. So far they haven’t been co-operating. Let’s see. For now, I’m only wishing that NLU-D and NLU-O don’t come under CLAT next year, because they still have 21 as the age limit.

I don’t think you can. Try contacting the authorised personnel though. You might get lucky in some important colleges. I think you might strike at NLU-D. What did they say at Symbiosis?

As far as the trend is going I dnt think The CLAT organizing Commit.wuld change the brochure and the conditions to sit in the xams ! But hope for the Best :)

not more than 20yrs as on 1st july means that the latest age limit is 20 on 1st july…you cant be 21yrs while giving the exam coz thats more than 20yrs…had the age limit been less than 20yrs of age as on 1st july dat means 19yrs is the last age limit to give the clat exam…dont you think so???

Sadly, you can’t give CLAT unless you get an exception which is out of the question. However, NLU Delhi has the age limit of 21 years and its worth going there. Best of Luck and study hard for that.

No Man. You would cross 20 year on 17th May. But, you would be able to write NLU Delhi as its age limit is 21

Hey all you guys that gave the CLAT, what was the specific age limit? The CLAT website claims the candidate cannot be MORE than 20 years. I turn 20 in January 2013. So during the exam, my official age is 20 years not 21. I guess the website should be more specific. Thanks for your help.

Whats wrong with you guys? Why would you drop a year for any reason at all? If you didnt get in, forget it! Join some other institute, and bash on regardless. Dont waste time on nonsense things. In the end, its a question of how good you are at your work, and nothing else which determines your success.

Well now.. the obvious answer is, do some work, find out what the options are, and take the exam. If the only effort you can expend is to land up on a bulletin board and post a dumb post saying “This is my date of birth, tell me how to do LLB’, then youre not going very far in life, are you?
