Out of KIIT law, Bhubaneswar and ICFAI, Dehradun, which is better.

Though KIIT is comparatively new than ICFAI and has no outgoing batch still. In KLS you get the best course structure in India (I can bet with any one). The new campus is coming up in a few months. Even the temporary building has AC classrooms, adequate number of books in the library, the faculty is good… We have senior faculty like G.V. Ajjappa, Dr. Sebastian, NK Chakraborti… Dr. Faizan Mustafa our ex-director takes regualr classes even after joining NLUO as VC… our Chief Advisor is Dr. N.L. Mitra; Martin Hunter takes classes as visiting faculty every year (these are really big names in legal sphere) … we get chance to interact with lots of legal lumineries… Our moot teams have started participating in national and international competitions… though there is no outgoing batch… the internship is moderately good with a few people have already completed their internship abroad… the BCI moot court, the Law Teacher’s Association Conference are going to be held this year…

Dude seriously, ICFAI has better curriculum. Better placements and achievements on date. Besides ICFAI is just a year or two older than KIIT but has far commendable achievements and participations. Its curriculum has been heralded by top law firms and luminaries. Besides it teaches financial accounting and financial management (which no other law school teaches) along with other management papers which are taught by MBA faculties and are at parallel with the Business School curriculum. Thus, if one prefers corporate law ICFAI is no doubt better than KIIT. ICFAI already has a good campus and is also expanding its growth. However, KIIT is also a good law school with great prospects but in no way better than ICFAI.

1st, KLS called about 350 students to come with 50,000/- draft though there are not so many seats. Presumed, very very few took admission. Then they again put ad in paper for admission based on clat. What is this? Why the fees are so high when a single batch has not passed till now

KIIT Law School offers the integrated course and the honours specialisation given are a first in India (if not in Asia/world). The BSc LLB course teaches you in Biotechnology… which has a great brand value… BSc LLb combined with honors in IPR will land you in a gud pharma company no doubt… The BBA and BA courses are also innovative… Their SYLLABUS HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY BCI AS THE MODEL SYLLABUS.
ICFAI doesnt have honours specialisation, whereas KIIT offers honors specialisation in 5 subject and expected to offer in about 9 different subject areas (8 papers). The BBA students are taught by the senior faculties of School of Management and BSc student by the School of Biotechnology and School of Sciences. Further there are in-house full time teachers in KLS as well. Being multi-disciplinary institution you get exposure by specialists from different fields.

Well to add up amartya’s rational boasting..i would like to post a link which speaks of my own experience..
I guess this link should dry up all questions regarding KLS and it would also be evident that KLS is one of the most promising and growing law school in the country.
