is joining upes and then preparing for clat a right decision since i hav not been selected or should i take a complete drop and then prepare

I would suggest that you joing UPES and then prepare for CLAT.

I HAVE GOT THROUGH UPES .. but is it a good college , whats the scope for energy laws in india like , and how is symbi in its placement and stuff , is it worth going there through management quota ..

Symbi is any day better than UPES although only 65 out of a batch of 150 got placed in 2009 owing to the ongoing economic downturn..

im getting in symbi and expecting to be waitlisted for kochi…wont drop…but where do i go to and prepare for clat-11…pls advise with reasons

Go for NUALS.. It is a National Law University having seen few of its batches pass out with flying colors.. Moreover, their new campus is under construction and it will offer one of the best infrastructural facilites.
