Property Documents Fake

Dear all

My husband has a non agricultural land registered on his name in Hyderabad. When we got the property registered , I had the documents . We are going thru a divorce now and he asked me to return those documents to him. I provided the documents to him in original and now he is harassing me saying the documents I provided are not original and he will take legal action against me and my family

Any advice on what he can do and what can I do as it is causing me a lot of emotional stress

Do not worry; You have solution.
Even if the documents are fake or color printed ; he has option to take certified copies from Registered office; There is no evidence to show that you have given fake documents.
Even if he file any complaint that will not going to strain you any way.
Holding documents or concealing documents is a crime. However if you are not holding , you better lodge a complaint that your husband is harassing for documents. Two things will happen with that
a. You cant use the original doc in any future but you can ask for maintainence on that property.
b. He will not harass you further
