SC saves trees: No more hardcopy printed judgments or causelists for anybody from 1 Feb

The Supreme Court will not be printing out additional hard copies of judgments anymore from 1 February to circulate internally and elsewhere, according to a notice dated today, as well as doing away with paper causelists.

Normally 80 copies of all judgments were made automatically for the records of the editorial branch of the court, which would be reduced to less than 20.

Judges and others should download copies of judgments from the Supreme Court’s website, rather than request hardcopies for “contingent / miscellaneous requirements”, said the notice (see below).

Furthermore, according to a second notice dated 13 January, all cause lists would be disseminated by email instead of paper from 1 February.
