A woman lawyer, allegedly manhandled by officers at the police station where she went to serve a court order restraining the eviction of vegetable vendors, has asked the Supreme Court for transfer of investigation to the CBI, reported Firstpost.
The SC agreed to hear her transfer petition after her advocate Vijay Hansaria alleged that the police station was tampering the evidence in the case by intimidating the witnesses, and that his client’s phone was under surveillance by a Pakistani agency.
