The Bar Council of India (BCI) announced yesterday (see below) that the long-awaited certificates of practice for those who passed the 10th All India Bar Exam (AIBE) held on 26 March 2017 are now available, but only for 19 states.

In a welcome move at transparency, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has (perhaps for the first time ever) released the English language questions and answer keys to the 11th All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that took place last weekend, on 3 December.

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) X, which was finally conducted yesterday after one full year, was “very easy” to score on according to one candidate.

Just when you thought no more delays were possible with this 10th All India Bar Exam (AIBE), which is already running on a razor-tight timetable, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has quietly amended a two-day old notification, delaying the release of candidates’ exam admit cards by two days to 18 March 2017, which is only 8 days before the exam date of 26 March.

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has quietly but significantly changed the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) syllabus since last time, possibly making it quite a bit harder, wrote iPleaders co-founder Abhyuday Aggarwal on Live Law yesterday.

The results to the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) 9 will be out on or before 20 May, as each candidate’s answer sheet now finally stands evaluated, assured the Bar Council of India (BCI) today following two missed official deadlines.
