Samvad, ELP on health-tech Genworks $8.8m raise by Somerset Indus Capital (May ‘19)

GenWorks, a health-tech startup spun off by General Electric’s (GE’s) healthcare arm Wipro GE Healthcare has raised Rs 65 crore from PE firm Somerset Indus Capital Partners for a 30% stake.

Samvad Partners advised Genworks Health Private Limited on all aspects of the transaction, including regulatory reporting compliances, and was led by partner Neela Badami, and associate Roshni Menon.

Economic Laws Practice (ELP) represented Somerset Indus Capital Partners in the deal.
