J Sagar Associates (JSA) acted for private equity firm BTS Investment Advisors on its Rs 36 crore ($7.9m) investment in car rental company Carzonrent which was advised by Amarchand Mangaldas.

JSA partners Sidharrth Shankar and Lalit Kumar led the transaction along with senior associate Akshay Nagpal for the private equity group whose investments form a part of the Rs 100 crore of cash Carzonrent wants to raise.

Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi partner Harry Chawla assisted by principal associate Tampi Chandrasekhar and associate Gaurav Dayal advised Carzonrent, which owns Easy Cab.

The transaction involved negotiations with two other Carzonrent investors.
