J Sagar Associates (JSA) and Perkins Coie advised global e-commerce giant Amazon in buying for $40m - a 20 per cent stake - in bankbazaar.com-owner A&A Dukaan Financial Services, which was advised by Bangalore-based firm Themis Associates. JSA also advised Fidelity Growth Partners in buying a 2.5 per cent stake in AA Dukaan.

JSA Bangalore partner Vivek Chandy, senior associate Archana Tewary and associate Lalu John Philip, and Perkins Dallas-based India group co-chair partner Indrajit Bobby Majumdar with senior associate Lynwood E Reinhardt acted for Amazon.

JSA Delhi partner Manvinder Singh and senior associate Nalin Bawa acted for Fidelity.

Themis senior associate Ashwani Verma acted for bankbazaar.

Wilkie Farr & Gallagher New York associate Neil Ruben acted for Mousse Partners, which also invested in bankbazaar. Walden and Sequoia, the existing investors were advised by their in-house teams.

Bankbazaar raised $60m in this Series C round of funding, according to TechCrunch.
