ELP debuts for Google Capital, with Bharucha, Themis, BMR Goodwin on CarDekho funding

Economic Laws Practice advised Google Capital on leading a funding round in GirnarSoft’s auto classified ads website CarDekho. GirnarSoft was advised by Bharucha & Partners. Themis Associates advised Sequoia, BMR Legal advised Times Internet and Goodwin Proctor advised Hillhouse Capital and Tybourne Capital – investors which were also part of the round.

ELP Mumbai partners Suhail Nathani and Darshan Upadhyay, associate partner Amit Manubarwala and associate manager Ananthram Ganesh acted for Google Capital on ELP's first instruction for Google's investment arm.

Bharucha Mumbai senior partner Alka Bharucha, senior associate Siddharth Manchanda and associate Swathi Girimaji acted for Girnar.

Themis principle associate Ashwini Verma and associate Abhishek Dwivedi acted for Sequoia.

BMR Delhi partner Amit Khansaheb and managing associate Nikhil Sachdeva acted for Times Internet.

Goodwin Hong Kong partner Yash Rana and associates Ananth Lakshman and Abhishek Krishnan acted for Hillhouse and Tybourne.

This round was earlier reported by the Times of India to range between Rs 150 crore to Rs 200 crore, and will value the eight year-old CarDekho at about $400m, according to the Economic Times’ sources.
