International magic circle law firm Allen & Overy has endowed the second season of the Mooting Premier League (MPL) with a generous sponsorship of Rs 1.2 lakh (£1,600) that will be shared between the best mooting colleges at the end of the season.

Allen & Overy's sponsorship fund will be distributed between the five colleges that will top the MPL table at the end of this second season, which concludes on 5 June 2011 after the Asia Pacific Rounds of the Manfred Lachs Moot.

The college ranked first by points according to the MPL rulebook will win Rs 50,000, the second place is rewarded with Rs 30,000, the third-ranked school wins Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 each goes to the fourth- and fifth-placed law schools.

The funds will be made available to the college's mooting committee and are to be used to support future mooting endeavours by the winning colleges.

Legally India thanks Allen & Overy for its generous support of Indian law schools and mooting.

Allen & Overy and Trilegal will also be delivering their new International Finance & Corporate Course between 4 and 8 July 2011.

This year Nalsar Hyderabad will be hosting the course and students will look to attend from law schools across India. The IFCC is a one week legal technical training course for year 4 students, covering all the main aspects of International Financial Law and Practice.

It focuses primarily on international finance law, and gives students a good understanding of the basic principles of finance and corporate law and practice that until now has only been available outside India.
