NR Madhav Menon: "Furthermore, alumni must be given representation in the Academic Council (AC) as well as the Executive Council (EC). The involvement of alumni, according to me, is the foremost governance measure to address governance and other related concerns in National Law Schools. "

Please tell us, Prachi and Kian, why are you ignoring this important statement from the father of legal education? Why are you not asking all the VCs this question? It is sad that LI has ceased to do investigative journalism and proper reporting like the old days. Nowadays all you do is copy-paste law firm press releases about deals.

Wow interesting info. It is a well known fact that ECs and ACs in premier law schools including NLS have ceased to function and the VCs there are running amok with their power. In the hands of these "stalwarts" like Venkata Rao, NLS has gone into a downward spiral with mass exodus of faculty and abuse of power

X, thanks for this information. LI, please look into this issue? The EC of most of the law schools (I'm saying most, but it could be all the law schools) consists of BCI members who do not understand the way how a law school functions, and they're the ones who elect the VC. A classic case of a top-down approach in decision making, eh?
