Priyansh Khandelwal: Rest in Peace

NLSIU Bangalore Masters of Public Policy (MPP) student Priyansh Khandelwal had drowned in a tragic accident, with his body having been recovered this morning.

It is understood that he and a group of friends had visited Karnataka’s Hampi area before the start of their term.

We understand that having gone swimming in a river and finding themselves in fast waters, Khandelwal was dragged under water by a strong current.

NLSIU is understood to be working with his family to send his body back to Rajasthan for his last rites.

According to one source, he was a “super bright student” near the top of his class”.

Khandelwal had joined the MPP programme in 2019, after a three-year BA in history from Hans Raj College and graduating from Alwar Public School in 2016.
