NLSIU Bangalore 1998 graduate Bhavna Thakur has joined the Everstone Capital Advisors in Mumbai as the fund’s head of capital markets and exits.

She began her career at Pathak & Associates, moved to Davis Polk and Wardwell until 2006 following a Columbia Law School LLM, and then joined Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP until 2007 as a corporate associate.

From 2007 she left the law and became vice president, transaction execution at Morgan Stanley until 2008, followed by four years at Citigroup Global Markets in Mumbai, first as head of transaction execution and then as head of equity capital markets.

After leaving Citi, between 2014 and now, she helped consumer internet start-ups raise financing from angels and VCs.

Thakur declined to comment due to Everstone internal policy.
