Amity Panvel law dept head and dean academics sacked 2 months after sexual harassment complaints

Amity University Panvel law department head and dean academics have been asked to resign after they were held guilty of sexual harassment by the university's Committee Against Sexual Harassment (CASH), reported the Mumbai Mirror.

Dean Academics Rakesh Singh made comments with sexual overtones and tried to make physical contact with an employee of the university while law department head Kuldeep Singh Panwar similarly targeted a student.

Complaints against them were first made to the CASH in October and the CASH constituted a committee and filed the report of its probe to vice chancellor Vijay Khole last week. The university asked the two perpetrators to resign on Tuesday.
