Amarchand, Luthra, JSA, Trilegal offer 11 jobs to NLU Jodhpur’s 2014 ‘day zero’ recruitments

NLU Jodhpur

NLU Jodhpur placed 11 students out of its class of 80 that will graduate in 2014 in its first day of recruitments in the fourth-year – also known as day zero, beginning on 16 April 2013.

The next round for this class will now begin in July after the college returns from a two-month summer break.

A total of 14 out of 40 students who showed interest in four law firms that recruited on day zero, bagged a mix of pre-placement offers (PPO), job offers subject to internship, and offers through direct interviews by phone or in person.

PPOs are generally job offers made to students who have interned at a firm.

Amarchand Mangaldas Mumbai extended two PPOs while Delhi made one, Luthra & Luthra’s Delhi and Mumbai offices made three and two PPOs respectively, and JSA Gurgaon made one offer after interview.

Trilegal made one PPO, and after interviews also made one final job offer, and three offers subject to internships. Two out of five Trilegal offers were from Mumbai and three from Delhi.

Jodhpur’s recruitment coordination committee (RCC) 2014 told Legally India that it asked for expressions of interest from the batch’s students for each recruiter that confirms to take part in the college’s campus recruitment, and therefore there is no permanent total number of RCC subscribers in the batch at any given time.

The law school placed 14 fourth year students by 10 May after last year’s day zero for the class graduating this year with Amarchand, Trilegal and Majmudar & Partners.
