Talwar Thakore & Associates has promoted counsel Deepa Christopher and Neville Golwalla to its partnership.

Both are in the firm’s corporate practice, with their promotions taking effect from 1 April 2020.

NUJS Kolkata graduate Deepa Christopher had been with TTA since 2008, having joined from Infosys. She works in public and private M&A, with a particular focus on insurance, as well as data protection and employment-related matters.

She had been promoted to counsel in 2018.

GLC Mumbai graduate Neville Golwalla had joined TTA in 2010 and also works on public and private M&A, court-related schemes and disputes, as well as fintech and IBC.

He had become a counsel in 2019.

Partner Kunal Thakore commented in a statement: “It is a pleasure to see Deepa and Neville being elected to the partnership.

“They have been a key part of growing our corporate practice, particularly in the areas of insurance, data protection, court related schemes and fintech, and we look forward to their continuing to grow the business as partners.”

Partner Feroz Dubash added: “Having worked closely with Deepa and Neville for over a decade, it is a pleasure to welcome them to the partnership. They are great additions to the partnership and we are all looking forward to working with them to continue to grow the practice and provide clients with the quality legal advice they have come to rely on from the firm.”

The promotions grow Talwar Thakore & Associates partnership to 9, included in its total fee-earner headcounts of 53.

On 3 April, we had reported that TTA had completed the first part of its promotions by elevating two each to counsel, managing associate and senior associate.
