Trilegal long-timer, counsel Anuja Tiwari joins DSK Delhi as projects partner

DSK Legal has hired Trilegal counsel Anuja Tiwari into its projects and infrastructure practice in Delhi.

The 2008 Delhi University graduate had begun her career at Trilegal, with a short stint at Allen & Overy - then Trilegal’s international best friend - in 2012.

DSK Legal managing partner Anand Desai commented in a press release that she would “add tremendous value to our growing infrastructure & projects practice” and that her experience would “greatly help us”.

Tiwari commented that she looked “forward to contribute to the success of all of its endeavours”.

She has particularly focused on projects work, in the areas of renewables (wind and solar, conventional) including risk assessment, pre-litigation strategy, regulatory advisory, transaction structuring, and drafting projects related contracts/documents, according to DSK, which added:

In the recent past she has also worked in the insolvency and restructuring advisory space. She also has significant experience with respect to battery storage, mini grids, e-mobility, and urban infrastructure, such as solid waste management, public street lighting and healthcare.

Partners only rarely leave Trilegal, which operates an all-equity quasi-lockstep, however, Trilegal’s counsel rung has been an attractive poaching target for firms for a number of years now.

We have reached out to Trilegal for comment.

Update 16:46: Trilegal co-founding partner Karan Singh said he wished Tiwari well.
