Tatva Legal has promoted R Venkat Raman, who heads the 5-lawyer litigation practice in Chennai, to its partnership in January, according to a press release from the firm.

He is a 2006-graduate of Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University, Chennai, where he also completed an LLM in commercial and mercantile, and in property laws.

He began his career at Rank Associates, Chennai, as a trial lawyer, and had joined Tatva in 2012, specialising in corporate, commercial, banking, consumer, and real estate and infrastructure litigations.

Tatva Chennai’s 7-lawyer corporate and real estate practice is headed by Santosh Ukkur.
