Hot on the heels of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas’ equity partner promotions of 11, and pretty much as long in the making and interviewing, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has lifted 10 of its salaried partners into equity:

  • Abhishek Guha (NUJS Kolkata; corporate),
  • Arvind Sharma (Delhi University, CLC; corporate),
  • Rudra Kumar Pandey (Delhi University, CLC; corporate),
  • Veena Sivaramakrishnan (Nalsar Hyderabad; banking & finance),
  • Anoop Rawat (Delhi University, CLC; insolvency),
  • Harman Singh Sandhu (MD University; LLM King’s College; competition),
  • Anuj Berry (NUJS Kolkata; LLM University of Oxford; disputes),
  • Rishab Gupta (London School of Economics; disputes),
  • Nikhil Naredi (NLSIU Bangalore; capital markets), and
  • VR Neelkanthan (NLSIU Bangalore; projects).

Furthermore, two of the firm’s principal associates have been promoted to salaried partner (pictured above):

  • Ashish Teni (NLIU Bhopal; insurance), and
  • Pavit Singh Katoch (ULC Bangalore; LLM Queen Mary London; disputes).

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas now has 119 partners.

Shardul Amarchand had sent out a press release about the equity promotions, unlike at Cyril Amarchand, where the equity promotions were not formally announced externally.L

Executive chairman Shardul Shroff commented in a press release: “Elevation to equity demonstrates the faith of these bright and committed lawyers towards the firm, our values and our future.”

Managing partner Akshay Chudasama added: “Each of the new equity partners demonstrate our strong focus on a wide array of practices and their elevation recognises the immense contribution of each of these individuals to the firm’s journey in the last 4 years.”

Managing partner Pallavi Shroff said: “It gives us a great sense of satisfaction to see our talent join us at the partnership table.

“Each of them holds great potential and will enrich the partnership with their contributions in the years to come.”
