He specialises in M&A, corporate structuring, transaction advisory and general corporate and regulatory advisory work.

Despite the recent negative press, am impressed that SAM is sticking to its policy of “up or out”. If you don’t make the cut, you ain’t going I be promoted even if it means you’ll quit.
Will bode well for SAM in the long run!

So as per you people like Omar, Trivedi and 150 others who have left because 'they couldnt make the cut' and Mr. Khansaheb's team members coming from BMR did. Enjoy your free uber ride on client account mate.

This is inarguably the best comment.

SAM might soon become S(hardul) and A(kshay) Associates to hold him back.

Frenz, you heard it here first.

Mr/Ms Wow - Given your self proclaimed skills at judging merit for partner promotions, you are hereby recommended as head of NPAC (National Partner Appointment Council) for buffons.. coz that's what you seem to be

Do you know what up or out means ? If not promoted - then fired. Not stagnated at the threat of quitting :)

Think big dude. May be they will kill in pair and take away the remaining of the already depleting work in your organisation. I know both of them personally, both are fantastic guys and come from the same University. I am sure they will gel well.

Win win for Link Legal. So many people leaving especially from this team highlights that there are some irreconcilable problems that the firm needs to resolve. Good luck to Anuj for the new role. He should do great.

SAM wanted to hire every Tom Dick and Harry.

Tom, Dick and Harry from mid to small firms saw an opportunity.

Tom, Dick and Harry give 4-5x of their best year numbers as projections to SAM to get hired with their team on a premium.

Tom, Dick and Harry can't make targets in the first year, SAM says it's okay, next year.

Tom, Dick and Harry can't make targets in the second year either. SAM starts putting pressure on Harry Dick and Tom.

Harry, Dick and Tom got their premiums, got a big firm partner tag, so they bid farewell to SAM. SAM is out of money paid to these guys, and Harry Dick and Tom's inflated Talent.

SAM as a desperate move tries to curb exits by putting 3 month pay out penalty. Harry Dick and Tom say, sure Bob, see you later.

The End (of SAM?)

I I understand correctly, the Tom, Dick and Harry comment is directed to Mr. KSaheb's team. I may be wrong, but from what I have heard KSaheb has always met his targets and unlike the home grown talent in SAMCO (including those part of the MC), he has his own book and is not dependent on Okhla for toss over.

sometime in 2016, Link Legal had hired Manish and Harish. Both competed for same clients. Somehow, Manish became a favourite and Harish was left to fend for himself. Now, after a solo stint, he has joined L&L . Now, am wondering how will Manish & Anuj share work. Corp work is coming essentially via LSIP, L&T and sometimes GMR. Hope they both don't have to compete for the same pie. What's their Bombay team doing? Don't hear much about them being part of big-ticket deals. Anyone has news?

About 10 other partners have left in last 1 year because (i) LL doesn't have much corporate work; and (ii) all that LL gets is hijacked by this team, no one else gets any assignment from the firm. All others are supposed to generate their own work. The new kid on the block will learn within a month and start looking out ... you heard it here first!

LL has no corporate work, love. Most of the half decent corp work is that of Manish's. Except for the GMR bit that has come for the first time, Manish has not got even 1 client from LLILS. All his clients have been developed independently. Waterbridge, OA, OYO, LSIP, L&T came to LL ILS because of Manish and not the other way round. :-)

Arguendo, is there anyone except him who can deliver even a half decent job?

L&T corp work definitely not due to Manish. Except LSIP others are small fries. L&T due to their infra connection. Anand's the boss there.

Well Bengaluru's Venkat did the Ramky Enviro deal recently. How can you say it is only due to Manish and he is the only hero around? He sure does his job. But others are there too.
