Platinum promotes NUJS-alum Sunandan Majumdar to partner, grows to 9

Corporate associate Sunandan Majumdar has been promoted to salaried partnership in Platinum Partners’ Mumbai office, effective 1 April 2018. specialises in corporate M&A and is a 2008 graduate of NUJS Kolkata.

He had begun his career with a two-year training contract with Herbert Smith in London. In 2010 he returned to India, joining Platinum.

This takes the total partnership of Platinum Partners’ to 9, with an overall fee-earner headcount of 45. The firm does not externally distinguish between salaried and equity partners.

In October of last year, senior and founding Mumbai partner Nihar Mody had announced his retirement.

2014-Wadia Ghandy lateral Ankit Majmudar is now heading up the Mumbai office. Karam Daulet-Singh continues as managing and co-founding partner in Delhi.
