Kochhar & Co has rehired former resident partner Rajarshi Chakrabarti, who had spent eight years since working in-house and starting up a firm, this time as a senior resident partner.
According to the firm’s press release, Chakrabarti will be heading the firm’s Mumbai office, which has two other partners: senior partner Rupali Sharma and partner Divya B Malcolm.
Chakrabarti had joined Kochhar in 2000, three years after graduating from NLSIU Bangalore.
He stayed at the firm until 2012, when he joined Vodafone India as associate vice president legal, followed by three years at Bennett Coleman as vice president legal.
In 2016 he had co-founded the law firm Lumen Partners in Mumbai, with former Grover Law Chambers and Rajani Associates partner Reena Grover.
