Mumbai-headquartered Vertices Partners has opened in Gurgaon, headed by partner Shraddha Ray Menon, who had merged her boutique Ray Menon Law into the firm in October.
Vertices had operated from Mumbai since it set up in 2016 by three Economic Laws Practice (ELP) alumns, while RML had started in Gurgaon in 2013.
Menon is a 1996 Symbiosis Pune grad and a Chevenning Scholar, and had been Coca Cola in-house lawyer for seven years before setting out on her own. She had started her career for three years at Thakker & Thakker, followed by short stints at AZB & Partners and Kochhar & Co.
She specialises in corporate governance, risk mitigation, compliance alignments and transactions, data privacy, human resources and employment laws including sexual harassment prevention training for corporates.
The Gurgaon office is based in a WeWork campus.
Vertices managing partner Vinayak Burman and co-founding partners Archana Khosla and Amit Vyas commented in a press release: “Vertices has seen a very interesting growth phase, given that we started in 2016, when it was a supposed downturn and now we are expanding in 2019, which again is a supposed down-turn.
“It is all the more exciting for us to face this challenge and marshal our cumulative resources to build this further with Shraddha’s help. It makes us even more happy and proud to state that as a firm we have been strong advocates on gender equality especially at the leadership and with having Shraddha on-board, this is another step towards it.”
