J Sagar Associates (JSA) has hired Mayer Brown International London-based senior associate Pallavi Bedi as a retained partner for its Gurgaon project finance practice.

Bedi will specialise on projects, banking and finance work, with a particular focus on the oil and gas sectors, mining and renewable energy, according to a press release from JSA.

She graduated from Delhi University CLC in 2002 and had worked at Mayer Brown for four years until several weeks ago, she told Legally India.

Bedi said that the main reason for her return to India was “coming back home and being part of a practice area which I want to develop in India”.

JSA founding partner Jyoti Sagar said in the press release that Bedi’s joining would enhance the firm’s existing projects practice.
