Luthra & Luthra Delhi managing associate Siddharth Srivastava is joining Link Legal as a partner in banking and finance.
Srivastava was promoted to managing associate level at Luthra in 2014.
He is a 2006 NLIU Bhopal graduate with a 2009 LLM from Columbia University law school in New York, who began his career at ICICI Bank in Delhi, moving to IL&FS as a senior officer before joining Luthra in 2009.
He specialises in banking and finance, having acted on loan syndication, debt restructuring and securitisation deals, debt instrument and derivative issuances, as well as some infrastructure projects.

Kian's reply made perfect sense. If an associates or anyone for that matter leaves a BigLaw to make partner in another firm, then it's a story worth writing about.
Have you lost it? When did Kian talk trash about Siddharth. He said about writing story about someone who is leaving a large law firm to make partner in another firm.
This is one guy to look out for. Many more would surely follow!
Anyone [...] would scratch their heads wondering whether a PA from Luthra leaving after his partner has left for CAM (presumably opening up opportunities at Luthra & CAM) seems like a step up. Maybe him moving to the lesser known 'LL' is a better outcome for them than him.
But just at the slight prospect of improvement in Link Legal drafts that we have to duly diligent and fix, this story gets a big up-vote from me,
The speed at which they have replaced their previous Finance star is also commendable and shows that young talent has faith in their Managing Partners ability to bring the best out of them.
So end of the day - do you commend Link Legal, make fun of them or be thoughtful of their strategy?

You seem more like one of the Ashoka Estate morons who are wearing blindfolds in addition to your ball and chain or maybe you are one of those who still harbors fake illusions of grandeur.
1) Someone who works hard, doesn't engage in sycophancy and is generally all around dependable; or
2) someone whose only legitimate claim to their monthly retainer and their bonus is their proximity to the powers that be themselves or the people who are close to the powers that be;
If you think option 2, then yes, Sid is not a star and luthra is indeed a star studded sky. Sid falls in category 1 which is critically endangered species in luthra that is deliberately and systematically hunted out of insecurity. And true luthra hasn't felt any pinch - thick skinned people rarely do.
NLS is a successful solely because of its alumni and the fact it is situated in Bangalore. NLIU, Bhopal is trying its best to make up for the 10 year advantage NLS has. I can foresee, NLIU becoming the premier most institute of law in India, 10 years down the line.
