Abhishek Sinha turns towards learning from partnership

Khaitan & Co partner and 2006 ILS Pune graduate Abhishek Sinha has resigned from the firm to start-up an a new learning provider for young lawyers and law students.

Sinha had begun his career at DSK Legal, then moved to AZB & Partners in 2007 and Khaitan & Co in 2009. In 2015, he had joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai as a partner, re-joining Khaitan that same year.

He had also been visiting lecturer at KC Law College between 2008 and 2009.

Sinha told us last week via WhatsApp: “NotJustLex will offer certain specialised moderated classroom programmes and online programmes, with the intend to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and expectations of law firms, corporates, and clients.

“[The] focus is primarily on participatory learning. It’s a platform for young lawyers and law students. [The] idea is to provide the participants a distinct professional edge in this competitive corporate environment.”

His resignation will take effect on 31 August.
