Juris Corp hires litigation partner, promotes one, takes on 11 freshers

Juris Corp has promoted finance partner designate Veena Sivaramakrishnan to full partnership and has lured sole practitioner Anil Mehar Singh Jarial to join the firm as a dispute resolution and real estate partner in Mumbai.

Sivaramakrishnan had started at Juris Corp in 2004 but moved to an in-house position at ICICI Bank in 2006.

In July 2009 she re-joined Juris Corp as a partner designate to co-head the derivatives and structured products practice. She is also heading the private wealth management practice of the firm.

Jarial had started his career with Mulla & Mulla in 2000, leaving the firm in 2007 to set up as a sole practitioner.

He has now joined Juris Corp as a partner and will co-head the dispute resolution and real estate team.

The firm said that it has also hired 11 associates from NLU Jodhpur, Symbiosis Pune, NLIU Bhopal, NUJS Kolkata and GLC Mumbai.

@2: If getting into Juris Corp is beyond the dignity of NLUs for them to be compared with non-national colleges, then kindly from henceforth when you talk about the quality or otherwise of your "National Law School" please qualify it by saying "The toppers of National Law Schools"....as otherwise...I dont think you regard students from your own "elite" institution, who have got into Juris Corp, as being what you call a "Nationalite"...
