Two partners leave

According to J Sagar Associates (JSA)’s press release, two partners are also leaving the firm:

At the same time effective 1st April 2018, two of our outstanding partners are leaving us effective 1st April 2018 to pursue their dreams after a long and fruitful association as an integral part of the JSA family.

Murali Ananthasivan from our Bengaluru office has long harboured a dream to go back to practicing as an independent counsel after ensuring that his team is settled with other EPs in Bengaluru. It will also permit him some time to pursue his other passions of golf, the hills of Coorg and of course his family. Each of our Bengaluru partners and their teams have vast litigation experience and we are glad that our corporate litigation practice will be in good hands.

When asked Murali said:

“I have mixed feelings, for the journey with JSA has been for a good ten years and I will certainly miss the wonderful people who make the firm what it is. I also do look forward to resuming independent practice, which in effect is putting the clock back by 15 years. I am sure JSA will achieve its aspiration to be the finest law firm and I wish the JSA family all the very best.”

Mansoor Ali Shoket from our Delhi office is also leaving on 1st April 2018. He is setting up practice in Delhi as an independent counsel and will also be actively engaged in doing something for his village in Kashmir. His team will be absorbed within the regulatory practice in Delhi where there is already considerable experience in the telecommunication sector and the work in that space will continue seamlessly.

When asked, Mansoor said:

“Whatever I am today is because of JSA and I shall be forever grateful.. I am sure that JSA will go from strength to strength. It has been a great journey with best of the colleagues and mentors. I have learnt a lot from JSA and it was and will always remain second home to me”

During their long association with JSA, they both provided sound advice to clients and made valuable contribution to the Firm’s growth and management for which they shall be remembered. The JSA family wishes both of them the very best for their future and looks forward to continuing their association with the firm in their respective new avatars.
