IndusLaw continues Bombay boom, hires Haresh Jagtiani’s Petrushka Dasgupta

Petrushka Dasgupta joins Indus from Haresh Jagtiani

IndusLaw has hired Haresh Jagtiani & Associates partner Petrushka A Dasgupta to further grow its Mumbai office.

She specialises in corporate litigation, insolvency, dispute resolution, real estate and aviation finance, and is the 11th partner to join Indus’ Mumbai office.

That nearly puts the Mumbai office within reach, in terms of partnership headcount, of its other main offices: Delhi has 16 partners and Bangalore 14 (Hyderabad has two partners).

Dasgupta’s career spans stints across in-house and law firms, beginning with Jet Airways between 2002 and 2007, followed by a two year stint as aviation head at AZB & Partners, according to her Linked-in profile.

Between 2010 and 2011 she was of counsel at BMR Legal in aviation finance and after that, until 2014, she was VP Legal at engineering and construction company Vectra Group.

Dasgupta had re-joined private practice at Haresh Jagtiani in 2014.

We have reached out to Indus and Dasgupta for comment.

Update 14:51: IndusLaw CEO Jayanarayanan NR commented: “We welcome Petrushka to IndusLaw and wish her all the very best in her new role.

“Mumbai is a key growth market for us, and we are committed to growing further in Mumbai, across all practice areas.”
