A part of the intellectual property practice of Indus, Thakur focuses on managing the IP portfolios of various brands including the selection, clearance and registration of their intellectual property and securing IP rights in foreign jurisdictions. She also provides litigation advice, management and support for IP and handles domain name dispute resolution, covers the IP aspects of corporate commercial deals and assists on strategy for commercialising IP, according to her Linkedin profile.

She has had stints with Krishna Saurastri Associates, Fox Mandal and K Law before joining Indus as a senior associate in April 2014.

She was promoted to principal associate in April 2016.
