IDFC/GIP legal head Vinod Joseph latest to joins Argus as partner in continuing corporate boost

Hire of Vinod Joseph to deepen firms corporate practice
Hire of Vinod Joseph to deepen firms corporate practice

Argus Partners has continued its steady hiring policy and bulked up its Mumbai corporate and private equity practice with Global Infrastructured Partners (GIP) India legal counsel Vinod Joseph.

Joseph had headed up legal at asset manager IDFC Alternatives, which had been bought by GIP last year.

The 1998 NLSIU Bangalore graduate was previously with Bennett Coleman & Co’s investment arm Brand Capital as legal head, after having been a partner at Dua Associates in Mumbai. He also has a 2003 LLM from the London School of Economics.

“We have recently expanded the banking & finance and the disputes practice of the firm,” said managing partner Krishnava Dutt in a press release, referring to the addition of a three-partner disputes team from HSA under Abeezar Faizullabhoy.

“Expanding on the corporate practice was a natural corollary. I am delighted to have Vinod on board to deepen the firms’ corporate practice especially in the private equity and private investment funds space,” he added.
