HSA Advocates has hired Economic Laws Practice (ELP) partner Ashutosh Gupta as a partner and as chief strategy officer.
He will be responsible for “strategic planning and business development efforts” at HSA, according to the firm’s press release.
The 2006 Delhi University LLB and 2013 Columbia Law School LLM, had been at ELP for one-and-a-half-years after four years at Khaitan & Co as director business strategy, having previously also worked at KPMG and other consultancies law firms (see full biography below).
According to HSA’s release, Gupta has been “implementing innovative growth strategies that leverage technology and data analytics in driving positive impact on revenue, client outreach and brand positioning”.
HSA managing partner Hemant Sahai commented: “Law firms need to continually adapt to the external environment impacting our industry and respond suitably to the emerging opportunities. Ashutosh brings with him this experience that will be vital to our growth.”
We have reached out to ELP for comment.
In April of this year, HSA lateral managing partner Amitabh Sharma had left the firm, with Sahai taking back the managing partner position (closely on the heels of a a mass poaching of partners by DSK Legal).
