HSA Advocates has hired GS Associates Advocates & Attorneys founder and managing partner Geeta Saha as a partner in Mumbai, specialising in banking and finance, infrastructure, projects & energy, corporate finance and real estate.

She had started GS Associates in 2017 after having been a partner at DH Law Associates, where she had been for five years.

Before that she was a partner at P&P Legal from 2012-2014, and an associate partner at Desai & Diwanji, where she had worked from 2011 to 2011.

Before that, the 2004 Delhi University graduate had worked at India Law Services from 2006 to 2008, and SJ Law from 2008 to 2011.

At GS she has been advising primarily on “diverse infrastructure projects viz. highways, power (hydro, wind, solar and thermal), ports, real estate, manufacturing plants”, according to HSA’s press release.

She has also worked with banks on external commercial borrowings and project finance.

There was a time that a certain partner at HSA had instructed his team to only consider applications from Tier 1 or magic circle applicants. How the cookie has crumbled.
