HSA Advocates has hired Agarwal Law Associates lawyer Manan Shukla as a partner in its Delhi disputes team.
He specialises primarily in maritime law and domestic and international commercial disputes, including arbitration in Dubai, Hong Kong, London and Singapore, as well as litigation before high courts and the Supreme Court of India, according to HSA.
Shukla had been at Agarwal, with the designation of international lawyer according to his Linked-in profile, since 2016 until this month.
Since graduating from ILS Pune in 2006 with a law degree, he completed an LLM at the National University Singapore, had worked in Singapore at law firm Kennedys (from 2008 to 2010), then moved to the UAE to join Hadef & Partners, before returning to India as an independent lawyer and having worked with DMD Advocates as a counsel for a year from 2015 to 2016.
He is also a member of the Young International Arbitration Group with the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the Young Arbitrators Forum at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
According to HSA’s press release, it has “strengthened its core dispute resolution capabilities and its ability to support clients in domestic and international arbitrations”.
