DLS Law Offices founder Dipti Lavya Swain, who was previously general counsel at Azure Power and partner at Luthra & Luthra, has joined HSA Advocates as a partner.
He has joined with his team of associates, though the other two DLS partners, Haripad Mohanty in Orissa and Anish Desai in Mumbai, will not be joining HSA (though “the firm intends to continue a professional relationship” with them, “albeit in a different structure”, according to HSA’s press release).
He specialises in corporate and M&A, having started DLS around the middle of 2018, after having joined Azure Power in January 2018 from Luthra.
Swain is the second corporate partner to have joined HSA in the last week - Bangalore saw Kochhar & Co partner Gaurav Sahay join - following eight partners having moved to DSK Legal.
Senior litigator Faranaaz Karbhari had also joined HSA as a counsel on 19 April.

HERO ALAM KI JAI!!
I have come across this comment thread, and do not appreciate people mudslinging and maligning anybody in the garb of anonymity.
I do not know the person concerned, but understand that it may get disturbing for him. I also understand that it is within a person's right to criticize someone.
However, in case of such criticism, the person criticising should be known rather than being hidden in the veil of anonymity.
You either do not publish such comments or arrange for a process where only verified accounts could publish such comments (eg., posting comment through Facebook account).
Hope you consider this suggestion. Let the persons be accountable for their comments. If not, do not publish maligning comments. They may be false, and agonising for the person concerned at the same time.
Thanks
I am the one who had posted this comment in defense. Now, [...] I do take the trouble to come back on this thread, and take my defending comment back.
Not at all impressed.
Enjoying the atmosphere and work (HSA).
Still lot to learn.
