DMD Advocates has promoted 20 lawyers up the ranks, according to a press release from the firm.

Co-founders and co-managing partners Anuradha Dutt, Founder & Managing Partner, Delhi, and Fereshte Sethna, Founder & Managing Partner, Mumbai commented: “The promotions are a testament to the firm’s overall growth and commitment to acknowledging talented individuals. Five principal associates have been promoted to counsel:

• Munindra Dvivedi (litigation & arbitration, Delhi),
• Rohit Garg (taxation, Delhi),
• Rahul Sateeja (taxation, Delhi),
• Suman Yadav (litigation & arbitration, Delhi), and
• Mrunal Parekh (taxation, Mumbai).

The firm has also promoted five to principal associate (Adhiraj Malhotra, Ashima Dewan, Divya Sharma, Haaris Fazili and Saiyam Chaturvedi) and 10 to the senior associate rung.

According to the firm’s press release about the new counsel:

An alumnus of Symbiosis Law College, Pune, Munindra Dvivedi has over 15 years of experience in litigation and arbitration. He regularly represents clients at the Supreme Court, Indian High Courts, District Courts, Appellate Tribunals and quasi-judicial bodies.

Rohit Garg has over 13 years of experience in advising and representing Indian and foreign clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in a variety of tax matters. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary.

Rahul Sateeja has over 11 years of experience in advising and representing clients in direct and indirect taxation matters. He is actively involved in representing both domestic and international clients before all levels of the tax adjudicatory fora, including the Tribunals, Indian High Courts and the Supreme Court.

Suman Yadav has over 10 years of experience in advising and representing clients in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration matters. She is also registered as an Advocate-on-Record with the Supreme Court.

Mrunal [Parekh] has more than 10 years of experience in direct tax litigation and advisory work on varied tax issues, concerning taxation of royalties, technical services, issues of permanent establishment and attribution of income thereof and transfer pricing. His core area of practice is international and corporate tax including transfer pricing laws in India.
