Two lawyers from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and one from a real estate developer have started their own law firm, Menon Verma.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) principal associate Amit Verma (2006 Delhi University LLB), CAM principal associate designate Anjana Menon (a 2007 graduate) and Alpha Corp Development Private Limited consultant Vikash Verma (a 2007 Delhi University graduate, no relation to Amit) have all joined hands as partners.

Amit Verma, who will be managing partner of the firm, and Menon had joined CAM in 2016 from K Law, where the former was an associate partner. Both joined CAM with projects finance partner Ajay Sawhney.

They are starting up their Delhi office on 8 October, said Amit Verma, and hoped to open Bangalore - headed by Menon - and Hyderabad - to be headed by Amit Verma - by Diwali.

They are currently a total of 8 fee-earners, including partners, though would double by month-end, he said.

Vikash Verma handles disputes and real estate work.

We have reached out to Sawhney for comment.
