AZB Delhi promotes 3: Abhinav Ashwin, Sachin Mehta, Shuchi Sinha

AZB & Partners Delhi office has promoted three of its lawyers to partnership, with Abhinav Ashwin, Sachin Mehta and Shuchi Sinha having been given the nod.

Tax lawyer Ashwin had joined from Ernst & Young in 2008, after graduating in 2005 from NLSIU Bangalore.

Sinha joined from P&A Law Offices in 2006 after a four-year stint as a journalist at India Today and a law degree from Delhi University.

Mehta was a lateral hire from Khaitan & Co in 2007, having graduated from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 2005. He specialises in M&A, capital markets and corporate work.

Last year the Delhi office also promoted three, while Mumbai promoted two.

AZB appears even worse than AMSS in the Mumbai Delhi battle. AMSS at least announces a single round of. Mumbai Delhi partnerships as opposed to Bhavi from AZB Mumbai being promoted months earlier and now AZB Delhi having their own partner promotions. It's quite clear that the two offices are not as integrated as they want to show to the market.
