Allen & Overy’s Hong Kong-based India group lawyer Amit Singh, who had been promoted to A&O’s partnership in 2014, has joined Linklaters in Singapore as a partner, according to a Linklaters press release yesterday.
He specialises in capital markets.
Singh is an Oxford University 1998-graduate, and was also a Radhakrishnan British Chevening Scholar, after a BA in English literature from St Stephen’s College in Delhi in 1996.
After a short stint with Freshfields in London, in 2005 Singh qualified in New York after an LLM in corporate law from New York University (NYU) and worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell in the city and London before joining A&O in Hong Kong.
According to Linklaters’ press release, he will work within the Narayan Iyer-led India practice, as well as with with Singapore-based capital markets partners Hyung Ahn and Jonathan Horan,
