Two staff were murdered in FoxMandal Little's Bangalore office early on Sunday morning. The firm has closed its office there for the day as a mark of respect.
The victims were identified as 30-year old security guard Dasharath and 25 year-old office boy Shubhankar Das.
FoxMandal Bangalore partner Shymal Mukherjee said: "We are truly shocked about the entire issue over here."
Dasharath was found murdered with stab injuries and Das was found dead inside the office premises, recounted Mukherjee. He explained that the majority of the office space had been locked but that night-staff had access to certain parts of the premises.
Mukherjee said that the intruder did not seem to have entered with the intention of theft as nothing appeared to be missing from the office.
But he added: "Neither can we fathom anything right now. The investigation is going on at a very high level.
"As of now, we are absolutely clueless about the motive."
Mukherjee said that all four Bangalore office locations would remain closed today as a mark of respect to the firm's "very trusted workers".
The murders occurred in one of the firm's four locations on Primrose Road.
According to the Deccan Herald, which first reported the news last night, FoxMandal Bangalore's reception, corporate and labour law teams are based there.
The Times of India also reported the story early this morning.

I hope this will help Indian firms sit up and take notice of security measures, and what they can do to make working conditions more secure for their own staff. One doesn't know why this happened and what the circumstances are, but security guards can sometimes be very easy targets and hopefully firms will look at how security and safety can be improved.
However I wish such a incident should not be used as a forum to air personal views ans grievances and raking up issues like non payment of renumeration. It helps not to deduce or conclude anything especially with tinted glasses!
The safety of all its peronnel including the outsourced security personnel ,is a matter of primary concern for any organization. But like the saying goes every man has a price and there is no insulation to the dangers of human weakness and fraility
