We're keen on doing more associate-related stories and this is just a quick two-liner news in brief item, which can be ignored if not of interest.
It's only a tiny item and you can open and read it from the frontpage without even having to load a new page. Seems pretty easy to ignore if you'd want to, no?
The ones who lose always complain about the ones that win ;)
What makes you think I'm an associate...:)
That's a weak defence to take, Kian. Write about associates in firms that are actually known. That's what the people have been asking for - no one has asked for random promo news. This article here is just shoddy. Who is this firm? Where are they based? What kind of work do they do? Why are they worth reporting? If you're going to publish something just coz you got an email from the firm, at least give some background details about the place no one seems to have heard of. Otherwise I insist that you report about promotions is every single law firm in the country, since you are SO willing to give people the associate promotion news they have been asking for.
We can figure out from page view statistics if articles are not interesting to readers and will probably stop doing it if there is really no demand.
At the moment, I'd very much like to report associate promotions or news more regularly, if we can get this news from some other firms (as we have done in the past):
www.legallyindia.com/tag/associate-promotions
Why shouldn't we also cover the same at firms outside the top six?
And seeing as this simple article has attracted so many comments and page views, maybe we should... :)
I guess you dont get time from vetting agreements.
slavesjuniors going independent? No matter what news about recruitment, promotion, start-ups is put on this website, someone does say something ridiculous about the law school, the law firm or the subject itself. Doesn't mean the website should stop providing information even with a little bit of relevance.
Kian: On second thoughts, these are the same bunch of people, probably people of jealous of you and your successful website that they have tendency of making such idiotic comments on almost each and every post that you publish, irrespective of the content!
Yes.
Or was 4.1 just a wee bit defensive?
