Raghuram Raju, Harry Chawla, Niti Paul to leave CAM Delhi

Chawla (l) and Raju to leave
Chawla (l) and Raju to leave

Three Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) Delhi partners will be leaving the firm, according to multiple authoritative sources.

Raghuram Raju was hired from Dua Associates as a corporate heavyweight around when CAM set up in Delhi.

He is understood to have first raised his exit in April but only resigned on 1 September after finishing an ongoing transaction. At the time of publication we could not confirm where he will head.

We also reliably understand that partner Harry Chawla and his wife and CAM partner Niti Paul are also leaving the firm. They had joined Cyril Amarchand from Kochhar & Co after having formerly been at Shardul Shroff’s Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi office.

We have reached out to all three for comment up to a week ago on various channels but have not heard back from them.

All three were hired in April 2015, when Cyril Amarchand was ramping up its headcounts in Delhi rapidly following its impending break-up with what is now Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.

We have also reached out for comment to Cyril Amarchand managing partner Cyril Shroff and Delhi managing partner Percy Billimoria.

These moves were first reported in our exclusive subscriber-only newsletter. Please find out more here and sign up to support Legally India.
