Luthra & Luthra will open an office in Hyderabad with local Tatva Legal partner Durga Bose Gandham, according to three sources with knowledge of the development.

Gandham is a 2003 Nalsar Hyderabad graduate.

Gandham and Luthra managing partner Rajiv Luthra did not respond to messages seeking comment.

This is the second major recent partner defection in Tatva's Hyderabad operations, following Ekta Bahl leaving for Samvad Partners in March of this year.

Update: It is understood that Luthra already had a Hyderabad office, where Delhi partner Abdullah Hussain worked part-time. However, with Gandham joining, Luthra will now have a full-fledged and separate office in the city.
